Just a few weeks after his release from Kaizer Chiefs, defender Sifiso Hlanti is poised to restart his football career in his home province of KwaZulu-Natal, the Siya crew has been informed.

Siya sources have indicated that both Golden Arrows and AmaZulu are expressing interest in acquiring the former Bafana Bafana defender.

Sources close to the situation have added that inquiries have been made by both clubs regarding Hlanti's situation.

"Both teams are interested in him. I think it will all go according to the negotiations and talks with the potential suitor. A move to one of the two teams looks set before the end of the transfer window period though it won't be a problem with him as he is a free agent but they seriously would want to wrap it up long before the closing day of the registration period," the Siya source stated.

However, negotiations are not without their challenges, particularly concerning Hlanti's salary expectations, according to a second insider. The second source indicated that while there is keen interest in Hlanti's services, the financial aspects are a significant consideration.

"As much as the teams are interested in his services they are also looking and considering what he was earning at Chiefs. Obviously they would want to offer a reduced salary but all that will depend on negotiations between the clubs interested in him and the player, together with his representatives. But of course, the interest from Golden Arrows and AmaZulu is there," the second Siya source stated.

Hlanti, 34, has immense experience in the top flight, having totaled 223 league matches. His release from Chiefs came as a surprise to many, given his solid performance in the team.

His pedigree makes him a valuable asset for Golden Arrows and AmaZulu, who are looking to bolster their respective defenses with a proven player.

Soccer Laduma reached out to both Golden Arrows and AmaZulu for comment on their interest in Hlanti, but no response was received by the time this report was published.

As the transfer window progresses, negotiations surrounding Hlanti's future will be closely watched, with potential for him to make a significant impact at his new club in the upcoming season.
