Only the most special footballers are honoured with statues, and today we look at six stars, including Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who have had sculptures made of them!

A statue of Messi was unveiled in Argentina not long after he recently quit the international team, where fans gathered in the hope of inspiring the forward to return to the national team... and it seems to have worked because he returned to the fold about a month later!
Ronaldo also has his own statue along with several wax figures around the world, while legendary Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has a very famous sculpture outside the Gunners' stadium!
The funniest, or perhaps strangest, statue of them all has to be the one of Zinedine Zidane and Marco Materazzi from when the Frenchman headbutted the Italian defender at the 2006 FIFA World Cup!
