Orlando Pirates are said to be close to securing the services of Thamsanqa Sangweni from Chippa United for a sum of R3.5 million – a figure that would be considered a steal!
The Buccaneers have been one of the most active PSL teams in the transfer market so far, having snatched up seven players over the past few weeks.
According to reports, Muhsin Ertugral is close to adding Sangweni to his roster of players, and the quoted figure for his transfer is said to be about R1.1 million less than what he is worth.
Transfermarkt values the central midfielder at R4.6 million; therefore, making his transfer to Pirates a steal if they only have to pay R3.5 million for him.
Thamsanqa, who is former Buccaneer Siyabonga Sangweni's brother, made 18 appearances for the Chilli Boys last season, and scored one goal.
Do you think Bucs should pounce for his signature straight away?
