Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has confirmed that part of the club's plans for the upcoming international break is to play a high-profile rematch against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Just last week, over 85 000 fans flocked to FNB Stadium for what was a great spectacle of football between the reigning PSL Champions and a resurgent Amakhosi under their new coach.

The game would continue to hog headlines days after the final whistle was blown due to the sheer magnitude of the clash between the two titans.

For all the high-octane that came with the match, local fans would have to wait for another two weeks - excluding the highly-anticipated MTN8 final on 5 October - before domestic football returns.

However, Chiefs do have a number of friendly matches lined up for this period, including one against Sundowns, as confirmed by Nabi.

"We have scheduled some friendly games and among the teams that we are going to face, we also have Sundowns," Nabi told journalists after the match at FNB Stadium.

"But I don't understand why the league stopped after three games. We started on the 16th of September and we only played three games and we had to stop again," he said.
