The business end of the season is approaching and from here on in, there is no margin for error. For Kaizer Chiefs this is no different and coach Stuart Baxter has to get his ducks in a row and do his utmost best to bring silverware to the cabinets at Naturena.
Also, Amakhosi find themselves challenging for honours both domestically and continentally. However where should Baxter prioritise?
We did ourselves proud by remaining unbeaten for 19 games in the league. Yes, it is the accumulation of points up until now which has put us in a prime position to take the league. Losing one game does not mean the end of the world, fans tend to forget about the healthy lead we still have at the top of the table. We are very much the top candidate to win the league trophy.
CAF Champions League
Our healthy lead domestically in the league could mean that more focus could be shifted on to the Champion’s League this time around. That’s not to say that there is room for points to be dropped, however, knowing that we have leverage in that aspect could do us well psychologically. Winning the tournament would hurt the Orlando Pirates fans and this time we have a good chance because of the lack of pressure in our domestic duties.
Having said that, Should Baxter prioritise the league or Champions League?
