The Absa Premiership is just a week away from getting started, and each coach is in the final phase of preparing his team to do well. But which manager has secured the most points in the league?
Gavin Hunt and Roger De Sa are the longest-serving tacticians currently active in the PSL – they have been mentoring in the top flight for 10 years now.
Due to their long stay, it comes as no surprise that Hunt tops the points list as he has coached more games than any of this season's other coaches.
His points tally of 513 was also aided by his time at SuperSport United, during which he led them to multiple league titles.
Pitso Mosimane only slots in at fourth place with 268 points to his name, but he has coached fewer games than all the other coaches on this list, barring Stuart Baxter, which means he has the best points-to-game ratio.
If he continues in the same stead, Mosimane will surely overtake Hunt sooner rather than later.
Here are the eight PSL coaches with the most points to their name:
Gavin Hunt – 513 points, 298 matches
Roger De Sa – 377 points, 279 matches
Steve Komphela – 314 points, 226 matches
Pitso Mosimane – 268 points, 138 matches
Ernst Middendorp – 242 points, 195 matches
Muhsin Ertugral – 232 points, 161 matches
Stuart Baxter – 212 points, 105 matches
Clinton Larsen – 208 points, 150 matches
