Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has revealed he wants new players for Christmas after their recent poor form.

The Soweto giants struck late in the second half to secure a 1-1 draw against TS Galaxy on Monday afternoon.

The Amakhosi have registered just one win in their last seven league matches.

"We feel that we didn't start well, the first 15, 20 minutes we were losing every ball, easy passes were lost, all the duels were won by the opponent, which was difficult for us," Nabi told SuperSport TV.

"We tried to adjust the team tactically after 25 minutes, then we came back really good and we conceded from a set-piece, where we feel like we were starting to come back into the game really well, with more control, commitment.

"In the second half we tried to push forward, again we're missing opportunities to score, at the end we tried everything to put more power, more risk forward and fortunately we got the point.

"But we feel that we're very far from the level of Kaizer Chiefs, we need to work hard, we need to strengthen the team but we're gonna do everything we can for the future games."

When asked about the struggles in attack, "It's true, we feel that up top we have the same kind of players, players who like to dribble, to play short spaces but we lack a little bit of power, players who can shoot. We need to get those kind of players in the future.

Nabi then spoke English and called on the club to secure new signings ahead of next month's transfer window.

"I want players of the level of Kaizer Chiefs, honestly," the 59-year-old coach said.

"The perfect gift of Christmas time would be players that can strengthen the team. We feel that we'll do everything as well to get better results."
