Hello fellow Buccaneers! The start of the season was a rough one. Our boys had come into the campaign having lost three finals and Vladimir Vermezovic had left the team struggling. Now, a different tale has unravelled…
When Eric Tinkler took charge of the club in December, many questioned if the assistant coach was ready to make the step up to being head coach. But now it seems that our boys, our Sea Robbers, are finally smiling after a string of great results.
Tinkler's debut on the bench in the Soweto derby did not end well, but, since then, the frowns on the faces of the Ghosts have turned into huge grins.
With an unbeaten run of eight fixtures, since the 2-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs, the Bucs fans can be called ‘The Happy People’ once again!
It seems surreal that the torment we endured at the start of the campaign has been left behind and our boys have turned their fate around. Now our Bucs will walk into this week’s fixtures against Free State Stars and Chiefs brimming with confidence.
It’s good to see the squad back to its old self! Ghosts, what are your thoughts on this delightful matter?
