There are often those footballers who tend to receive more bookings and bans than any other player in their team, and some will blame it on below-par tackling abilities – but we at the Fan Park believe that there is a lot more intention behind their challenges at times.
We bring you the Most Ill-Disciplined XI in a 4-4-2 formation:
Goalkeeper – Jens Lehman
Remember this guy? A real aggressor between the sticks! Often getting in unnecessary tussles with opposition, earning him seven red cards and 65 yellows in his career!
Right-Back – Dani Alves
Apart from his sometimes erratic behaviour on the field, the Brazilian has 13 yellow cards and nine red cards, and there is still time for him to earn himself a few more!
Centre-Back – Marco Materazzi
The former Italian centre-back was never a fan favourite – having received 106 yellow cards and 13 reds! Who can forget his memorable World Cup final clash with Zinedine Zidane!
Centre-Back – Sergio Ramos
Remarkably, at just 28-years-old, the Los Blancos defender has 157 yellow cards and 19 reds next to his name – unbelievable!
Left-Back – Gabriel Heinze
The former Manchester United defender got a total of 110 yellows in his career, along with six red cards.
Right-Mid – Joey Barton
We know he isn’t one to shy out of a tackle or a fight, and that’s why he makes our list. Eight red cards and 96 yellow later, is there any stopping him from defying the football laws?
Centre-Mid – Patrick Vieira
The former Gunners skipper was always known for his dominant role in midfield – and racked up 94 yellow cards and seven reds in his successful career.
Centre-Mid – Roy Keane
The hardman received 95 yellow and nine red cards in his career – all nine reds came during his time at Manchester United.
Left-Mid – Neymar
At just 23-years-old, he already has racked up 56 yellow cards!
Striker – Luis Suarez
Apart from his talent, he likes a good, old fashioned bite, and has served several lengthy spells on the sidelines due to the most absurd off-the-ball incidents! He has one red card to his name as well as 77 yellow cards.
Striker – Diego Costa
He works the nerve of every defender, and recently got a three-match ban after stamp on Liverpool’s Martin Skrtel. The Spain international has 95 yellow and eight red cards on his record so far.
Can you name any other players who might’ve earned themselves a place in this team?
