On Friday afternoon, the draw for the 2018 FIFA World Cup took place, and with it, football’s royalty was present. Have you seen the pictures from the draw?
The iconic tournament will commence on 14 June, with Russia set feature against Saudi Arabia in the curtain raiser fixture of the World Cup.
Morocco, who qualified for the World Cup for first time in 23 years, was drawn in Group B alongside Portugal, Spain, and Iran, while Nigeria was paired in, what is arguably the Group of Death, alongside Argentina, Croatia, and Iceland.
Former England international Gary Linekar was one of the hosts of the event, while the likes of Diego Maradona, Pele, FIFA president Gianni Infantino and Russian President, Vladimir Putin were all present.
Meanwhile, there were also some notable African legends in attendance, and they were: Samuel Eto’o, Jay Jay Okacha, and Kanu.
