Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is set to leave the club at the end of the season and this may have opened the door for a number of the club’s star players to follow.
Here are five players we believe that may follow Klopp’s exit:
The 24-year-old Dortmund playmaker could be a massive signing for any club needing creativity. The German international has proved himself to be an outstanding technical player with a wonderful passing game.
A big-money buy for Dortmund back in the summer of 2013, but hasn’t quite lived up to expectations. He scored nine goals and created 10 others in a decent first season, but has failed to build on that this term.
The striker is the highest scoring African in Europe this season, with 18 goals! The Gabon international is reportedly being monitored by a number of Premier League clubs, and Klopp’s exit might see him on his way too.
Reus has been Dortmund’s prize asset for the past two seasons following the departures of Lewandowski and Mario Gotze, both to Bayern Munich. The 25-year-old joined the club in 2012 and has since scored 53 goals in 114 games.
Dortmund’s captain was one of Germany’s World Cup winning stars last summer. He joined Dortmund from Bayern Munich in 2009 and has since made well over 200 appearances in all competitions.
Do you think we will see a mass exodus from the club?
