Chiefs Management Have Questions To Answer!

Good morning Khosi fans. As May approaches thick and fast, so does the end of the season and the expiry dates of our players’ contracts. Yet, Bobby Motaung and company are yet to say anything on the matter…

There is something not right at Naturena and that has been evident in the way the team has been playing since the turn of the New Year. With just one goal in 2015 alone, you can tell that there is an underlying factor disturbing the squad...

One just has to look at which players could be leaving as free agents, there are up to six players who have yet to put pen-to-paper on a new contract extension.

Itumeleng Khune’s stalling of an extension has arguably been one of the biggest points of discussion since January, and with him having returned to playing first team football, one would think something would be said.

The shot-stopper is the club’s captain and the fans have every right to know what the hold up is. Not only that, but our vice-captain, Tefu Mashamaite, is also due an extension…

It was previously reported that the two parties had agreed terms to extend his stay at the club, but no physical signing of a new deal has taken place. Since then, reports have linked Tefu to a move overseas or to Bidvest Wits. Motaung is yet to comment on that too…

Mandla Masango is another player who has been a revelation this season despite being initially transfer listed at the start of the season. His inspired form had him linked to penning in a new deal too, but once again, Chiefs fans have been left waiting.

The one contract extension delay that can be accepted is that of George Lebese. The winger is currently dealing with malicious damage to property and grievous bodily harm charges.

With Chiefs so focused on their image, you can understand their hesitancy in signing him for longer as they await the official verdict. However, they are yet to reveal that this could be the reason for their delay...

Finally, Josta Dladla is 35-years-old and nearing the end of his career. He is said to be keen on wanting a move back to Denmark, but management has touched on no such thing either, despite it being less impactful as Tefu, Khune and Masango.

This does leave me frustrated. Why are Chiefs not answering any of the fans’ and the media’s questions? How do you feel about this?
