Much of the attention has been turned to the in-form strike partnership of Lehlohonolo Majoro and Kermit Erasmus at Orlando Pirates this season, with the men who provide them with the ball often being left in the shadows.
With that said, which Bucs playmaker do you think will standout and come to the party in the second half of the season?
Mpho Makola has been a useful attacking outlet when playing just behind the lone striker. However, when two strikers have been utilised, Makola was used as a makeshift left winger. His skill and craft has made him a favourite with the Ghost and he is sure to thrill whenever called upon.
Another name which is hugely popular amongst the Pirates faithful is indeed Thabo Rakhale, who has won the hearts of the adoring fans with his dazzling array of tricks and flicks. This is the type of innovation needed to unlock the tightest defences, and with Rakhale rising in form, he could become an important player for Pirates this season.
Also, Sifiso Myeni’s form towards the end of the first round of fixtures was very much admirable as he constantly found himself in the starting line-up due to his stylish and elegant performances. Possessing a serious amount of pace and a deft first touch, interim coach Eric Tinkler will no doubt consider Myeni as one of the first names on his team sheet.
