There’s no doubt that the 90’s was the best time for any Belgian male to be born. Today, the Fan Park crew lists the best Belgian stars who’ve taken Europe by storm at incredibly young ages.
Eden Hazard – 1991
The skilful Chelsea winger who was born in La Louvière has fast become one of the best players in England, and we feel that it won’t be long until he becomes one of the best in the world. He recently just signed a new contract at Stamford Bridge, extending his stay until 2021.
Kevin De Bruyne – 1991
With his sublime form this season for Wolfsburg, we think that Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho might regret letting this Belgian-born in Drongen go. His hard work for his club has helped them to second in the Bundesliga and De Bruyne was the star player in their 4-1 thrashing against Bayern Munich.
Thibaut Courtois – 1992
Born in Bree, the Chelsea goalkeeper was always a bit bigger than the rest of his age group. Years later, he rises above the tallest defenders to collect the ball that he feels is rightfully his. He is widely regarded as one of Europe’s best goalkeepers and is still only 22-years-old!
Romelu Lukaku – 1993
The big and physical Everton striker, who was born in Antwerp, was signed by Chelsea in 2011 at the age of 17. Since then, he’s only grown slightly but is still a massive frame for 21-year-old kid!
Adnan Januzaj – 1995
Born in Brussels, Manchester United’s promising talent is the youngest of the lot. To put his age in to perspective, he was just 7-years-old at the 2002 World Cup. We can’t wait to see what this player produces in the future!
