As champions, we know we have champion players. Coach Pitso Mosimane has found a good balance between youth and experience in the squad, and seems to be hitting the high notes at an important stage of the season.

What about the extra players, the players who do not get the time on the pitch, Is it bad for unity in the squad? Well here are a few areas in the squad we could definitely improve on by means of trimming it down.

Midfield Department

Mosimane is a coach who generally has a fixed midfield, with names such as Teko Modise, Hlompho Kekana and Bongani Zungu getting the nod more often than not. However, there are many players who do not get game time and never really make progress at the club. I do feel we could sell a few midfielders going forward.

Striking Department

With regards to strikers, Mosimane only really uses one target man with a number of playmakers around him. In that sense, there is no need to have a huge range of strikers at the club. Cuthbert Malajila is currently the number one, and is on top form, and I feel that signing new strikers would only make things difficult for Mosimane.
