The story
Stellenbosch FC and the Goldrush Boland cricket side came together for a joint training session, hosted by the football club in the Cape Winelands.
Stellies, who seem to have mentally moved on from their MTN8 heartbreak at the hands of Orlando Pirates, invited Boland to training.
Steve Barker and his troops momentarily took their minds off their Carling Knockout Cup clash against AmaZulu on Friday in Durban to bond with Boland neighbours, who are currently taking part in the CSA T20 Challenge.
As two proud sporting institutions in close proximity to each other, it's important for both sets of athletes to learn from each other despite being involved in contrasting sporting codes.
The Boland cricketers tested their skills in front of goal with shooting drills before Stellies head coach, Barker, swapped jerseys with Boland's boss, former Proteas cricketer, Justin Ontong.
