The 27-year-old grew up at Randburg Mets Baseball Club, where he lived in a room at the clubhouse with his mom and brothers.
It was there that he learned how to play baseball, before moving across to the US, where he now plays for Pittsburg Pirates.
Ngoepe, who has swiftly become one of the most famous names in MLB, Instagram Storied a video of him walking down the street in Pittsburg sporting the famous Kaizer Chiefs colours.
