Since joining Real Madrid in 2009, Cristiano Ronaldo has been an incredible force for the club, seeing him go from famous footballer to one of the most iconic and powerful personas in the history of the game. As such, his latest boots were inspired by the form he has displayed for Los Blancos. Have you seen it?
The Portugal international has built such a brand for himself that he now owns various clothing lines, which includes a partnership with Nike for football footwear.
Over the years, Ronaldo and Nike have launched a series of boots, and his latest kicks – Chapter 5: Cut to Brilliance – mirror the way he has shone like a diamond for Real over the years.
"The boots feature a diamond-inspired graphic on a white base that sparkles under the lights," a press release from Nike read.
"The upper includes multi-colour knit details that mimic the multitude of colours that diamonds refract. On the medial side of the boot, a textured CR7 logo provides a tactile representation of the diamond graphic, while the heel counter provides a top-down view of a brilliant-cut diamond accompanied by the date of Ronaldo's Madrid debut.
"The high heel reads 'El Sueno Del Nino' (The Dream of the Child) as these were the words Ronaldo shared with Nike's design team to describe how he felt about joining his new team."
