Lucas Radebe is, without a doubt, one of the greatest defenders to have graced local and international football, but who can forget the time he turned out in goal against Manchester United? We certainly haven't, and he has now been voted as the third funniest emergency goalkeeper in the Premier League.
"Rhoo" left Kaizer Chiefs for Leeds United back in 1994, and he went on to captain the club and become a legend in United's history books. But little did he know he would taking on goalkeeping duties two years later…
Radebe began his playing career in goals, and he put that experience to good use when he replaced Mark Beeney in poles following the latter's sending-off 17 minutes into a game against the Red Devils.
Much to everyone's delight, the Soweto-born defender thwarted efforts from the likes of Andy Cole, Brian McClair and Ryan Giggs. However, his bravery couldn't deny Roy Keane at Old Trafford.
Radebe's efforts saw him receive praise from Sir Alex Ferguson, who said: "I can't understand Leeds United. Their manager doesn't deserve to have his players playing like that only when they come to Manchester United."
His brave display saw him voted by FourFourTwo as the third funniest emergency goalkeeper in the English top flight's history, and it will be a memory long embedded into all who witnessed it.
Fast forward to 1m 15seconds to view Radebe in goal.
Do you remember this display from Rhoo?
