Superstar Lionel Messi was supposed to be come to Africa this week, but he has postponed the trip after FC Barcelona's 4-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain!
According to Egypt's Daily News, Messi was expected to arrive in the North African country this week for business, but after his side were embarrassed by PSG, he decide to cancel his Wednesday morning trip.
Messi is reportedly going to be the face of a campaign for Prime Pharma called "Tour and Cure", which promote tourism in Egypt.
Prime Pharma chose the Argentine because of his massive popularity around the world, and especially in Africa, where football is religiously followed.
"This visit gained its importance as it is considered the first real and practical step for the private sector towards refreshing tourism in the country," the report read.
"To welcome the footballer, huge and prestigious preparations were made, all of which were suspended and to be resumed when Messi is set to arrive to Egypt."
