Lets Remember Senzo As A Footballer & Nothing Else!

Lets Remember Senzo As A Footballer & Nothing Else!

Hello fellow Khosi fans! I can't describe the joy I am feeling after waking up with a win under our belt but that was slightly shut down when news on Senzo Meyiwa's private life started to escalate.

Ever since we bid our captain farewell there have been stories about him fathering illegitimate children. There have been stories about he was unfaithful to his wife Masipa and his mistress/girlfriend Kelly Khumalo.

Stories have emerged that he had another child with a woman unknown to the public, and, to be honest, it was getting too much for my liking.

When those rumours finally started to fade away, we were hit with yet another tale that has shaken the memory of Meyiwa.

According to the latest story, Meyiwa had a twin brother, Siya, that passed away in 1993, and in an attempt to reunite the brothers, their parents decided to move the body of Siya and place him in the same grave of Senzo.

This is where the catch comes in! Apparently it was written on Siya's tombstone that we was born in 1984 making him 30 years old while Senzo was 27 when he was taken from us.

As twins one cannot be three years apart… OBVIOUSLY. So the media is now insinuating that Senzo was in fact age cheating during his career.

This has got me really upset. What happened in Senzo's private life was his own business, but as a team we cannot move on when all this bad mouthing about our skipper is continuing to circulate.

Meyiwa was an excellent goalkeeper who developed excellently throughout his career. He was also an amazing and heroic captain. I want to remember him for what he did on the field and not have my image of him tainted by the media.

Senzo is no longer with us. We can only hope his killers are brought to justice and that our team rises again.

What do you say fellow Buccaneers?
