We all know that footballers are one of the most highly paid sport stars in the world and, today, the Fan Park crew thought it would be good to check out the top ten weekly earners in world football this season.
Fernando Torres – On Loan At Atletico Madrid
The 30-year-old Spaniard has finally returned to his boyhood club this season, after spells at Chelsea and AC Milan. He is currently on loan at Atletico and it's reported that he is earning a weekly wage of R3 million.
Eden Hazard – Chelsea
The Belgium born start is only 23-years-old and is already a household name around the world. He is Chelsea's main playmaker and is earning R3.2 million per week.
David Silva – Manchester City
Silva managed to make a big money move to City a few season's back after a very successful 2010 World Cup in South Africa. He is now one of the world's highest paid players and is only 28-years-old. Silva earns R3.5 million a week and is in line for a contract extension soon.
Luis Suarez - Barcelona
The troubled Uruguayan striker made a big money move to Barcelona after his biting incident in the 2014 World Cup. Liverpool made a heap of money from the year and Suarez also benefitted, as he is earning R3.8 million a week.
Sergio Aguero - Manchester City
The Argentine has been instrumental in City's last two Premier League trophy runs and is being rewarded with a lovely weekly package. Aguero is currently earning R3.82 million a week at Manchester City and he is only 26-years-old.
