A Hero On Off The Pitch
Last year, during the early stages of the rapidly spreading Coronavirus outbreak, availed his private medical centre as a COVID facility to help ease the strain on the healthcare system.
The ex-Chelsea superstar is a much-loved figure in his native land and was recently recognized by the Network of Universities of Science and Technology of the Countries of Africa south of the Sahara with an honorary degree.
