A day before Kaizer Chiefs' 2-2 draw with Royal AM at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday, the club visited the town of Burgersfort for an activation event on the Friday.

This week, Amakhosi shared a video of what went down at the event, which took place two hours away from the team's base in Polokwane.

In the clip, Mashiane spoke to the Chiefs film crew alongside his uncle and nephew who are from the Burgersfort area, with the player revealing that he was greeted by other extended family on the day.

"To be back home and seeing the people who always support you," noted a beaming Mashiane who introduced his uncle and nephew during his interview.

"Today, I am with my family. This is my uncle and this is my nephew. Others are also here but we couldn't include all of them in this video, but it's very refreshing to see the people who are always there to support you," said the Thembisa-born baller.

Despite struggling to find a place in Nasreddine Nabi's starting line-up, Mashiane also mentioned the importance of feeling the love from Chiefs supporters around the country.
