That being said, Guardiola became a trending topic on South African Twitter spheres this past weekend, as a snippet of his post-match interview went viral.
While explaining his side's ability to keep Chelsea at bay from a defensive point of view, Guardiola let out a term that sounded similar to a South African expression of slang.
Haai Guys
Pep mentioned, "In 180 minutes we concede one shot on target, against Chelsea?"
"Haai guys, that is so good. It means a lot of the players, the work they have done."
While Guardiola may have had is own interpretation of what he said, it did not go unnoticed by supporters online as the clip made its rounds on various social media platforms.
