Five Secrets Of Ronaldo's Success

Five Secrets Of Ronaldo's Success

Today, we were lucky enough to watch Cristiano Ronaldo's film Ronaldo and, judging by the production, there are five key factors to the superstar's success.

Sir Alex Ferguson

Before Ronaldo signed for Manchester United, clubs such as Barcelona and Real Madrid were after him; however, Ferguson promised his agent Jorge Mendes that if the player signed for the Red Devils, he'd play 50% of the games in his first season. The rest is history…

His Agent

A determined and successful businessman, super agent Mendes went to extreme heights to get Ronaldo to where he is today. The Portuguese superstar refers to his agent as his older brother, and even father, and he has been a huge part of Ronaldo's enormous success.

Messi Rivalry

In the film, Ronaldo admits he doesn't see Lionel Messi as a rival, but as a player who makes him better. Their "rivalry" will go on until the end of their playing days, and perhaps even further, but the competition he faces in the Argentine only inspires him to work harder in his mission to be the best.

Family

Throughout the film, Ronaldo stresses the importance of the roles his son and his mother plays in his life. The 30-year-old is incredibly family-orientated, and even admitted to enjoying being alone with just his family, when he feels he is in a comfortable environment. As previously mentioned, he also considers his agent as part of his family.

His Football Obsession

Ronaldo is football mad. It's all he thinks about. Without the sport, his life has little meaning, and he would perhaps admit that himself. To be the best player ever is all the Portuguese star thinks about, and he often repeated in the film: "I want to be a king."

Do you consider Ronaldo to be the greatest footballer ever?
