The story

Ten-men SuperSport United and Gavin Hunt would be pleased with a point after fighting back in their 1-1 draw against Polokwane City in the DStv Premiership at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday evening

The result sees SuperSport continue their winless streak in the league, as they find themselves in fifth-place, but they'll breathe easy having battled to get their point against Rise and Shine, following Ricardo Goss' red card in the first half.

Bafana Bafana winger Oshwin Appolis pounced on a loose ball to give Polokwane City the lead in the 56th-minute, but their lead was short-lived after Etiosa Ighodaro levelled matters in the 68th minute.

Although the stalemate didn't garner many talking points beyond Goss' sending off, there was a passage of play that supporters online were quick to ridicule.

Before both goals went in, there was a period just after the half hour mark where both teams weren't able to keep the ball on the group, resulting in possession being exchanged constantly, and not in the best way...

Many fans on Twitter/X described it as "skop and donner" football, while another fan hilariously dubbed "helicopter football".
