Manchester United legend Eric Cantona left the world speechless with his cryptic words after accepting the 2019 Uefa President's Award, while in South Africa, Steve Komphela is known for his cryptic speeches. Between them, who did it better?
Sporting a scruffy full beard and creased red shirt at the Uefa gala, Cantona, who has always been known to be one of football's most enigmatic characters, had social media confused when he delivered his speech.
At his philosophical best, Cantona said: "They will kill us for the sport. Soon, the science will not only be able to slow down the ageing of the cells, soon the science will fix the cells to the state and so we will become eternal. Only accidents, crimes, wars will still kill us but unfortunately crimes and wars will multiply. I love football. Thank you."

In South Africa, former Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela left fans confused after a pre-match interview during his tenure at the club.
Komphela told SuperSport: "In the olden days when Jesus Christ went through his lessons, he was never specific in his references, he would always use symbols, because whenever a symbol is used in a process where something has to be rectified none of us gets consumed.
"If I were to refer to someone and say, Mfowethu umnyama, I would put it like that because I am, but if I were not, I would put it in a way that has respect in what I am saying. I hope you understand."
