We've seen some pretty stupid things happen in football, but throwing a knife at a player has to be one of the worst ever. Did you see what happened to Ricardo Quaresma?
The Portugal international is currently plying his trade for Turkish side Besiktas, and on Sunday night he turned out for his club in the Turkish Super Cup final against Konyaspor.
Quaresma started the game from the very first minute, but things somehow got out of hand between the fans, resulting in a knife being thrown at the winger.
Thankfully, he didn't get hit, and picked up the knife and gave it to the referee.

This is extremely dangerous and could have done some serious damage and injury to the player. We hope that the security and the clubs investigate the matter because the player was lucky to escape unhurt.
