The story
Cape Town City's veteran shot-stopper, Darren "Popeye" Keet will be improving his look slightly for the 2024/25 campaign.
The former Bidvest Wits man, who has managed 13 caps for Bafana Bafana, may be in the back-end of his career but is still eager to maintain a certain look that he can be happy with.
With his hair thinning and the hairline starting to retreat, Keet announced on Instagram that he's set to undergo a month-long hair transplant procedure.
"Exciting news?? It's the start of week 4 since my FUE Hair Transplant with the incredible team at @alviarmani_southafrica. The experience was fantastic from start to finish, thanks to their amazing staff. There's still a long way to go, but I'm thrilled to share this journey with all of you. Stay tuned for more updates!" revealed the 34-year-old on his latest IG post.

Like Keet, former US Men's National Team captain, Landon Donovan is also recently underwent a hair transplant procedure.
The US football legend was on punditry duty for FOX Sports at the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament taking place in Germany and Donovan's hair quickly became a trending topic for how messy it looked on camera.
