There has been a lot of talk around Barcelona getting a new kit next season and with Nike on board anything is possible when it comes to design.
The Catalan club has had a vertical kit design for their entire 115-year history, but if headlines in the recent Spanish media is anything to go by, they're about to change to horizontal stripes.
Sport.es released designs of what might possibly be the 2015/16 FC Barcelona kits and while they are not the most reliable news outlet, they have been very reliable over the past three years when it comes to obtaining the Nike designs for Barcelona's kits.
The newspaper published pictures of Barcelona's new kit on their front page, club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has apparently given the go ahead with the new designs to be officially presented later on this year.
Supporters around the world don't seem to be very impressed with the new design and some have taken the change a bit personally. A supporter was quoted as saying: "I understand that football is business, but we must also put some limits and respect our history. (Qatar was not enough?). This shirt besides being awful is against the identity of the Barcelona."
With the proposed changes likely to go ahead, I foresee a lot of trouble around this new playing top and it might be a good Idea to leave it just as it is.
