One can always expect the unexpected at the Durban July and this year, it was no different with local actress Zola Nombona arriving at the popular horseracing event this past weekend with a dress that celebrates the start of Orlando Pirates' 85th anniversary. Have a look!
What's the story?
Zola Nombona, who stars in 'Generations: The Legacy', showed up at the Greyville Racecourse on 2 July in a flowing black dress with red trimmings on the brim of the garment and the number 85 to honour the anniversary of the Soweto giants.
It was Nombona's first Durban July appearance and she combined the event's elegance with her undying love for the Happy People.
It’s my first #DurbanJuly experience and the best part is that I am celebrating the start of the @orlandopirates 85th Anniversary ?? with my @adidasZA fam

Who designed the dress?
Nombona's unconventional dress was designed by local brand Fundudzi. The details of the dress show black and white finishings at the top, which showcases the colours of the Buccaneers.
She rounded off the look with white sneakers from the long-time Orlando Pirates sponsor Adidas.
