After matchday one of the new season's Premiership fixtures were completed on Wednesday evening, Soccer Laduma looks at five new signings who had a league debut they won't forget.
There were a number of players who made their debuts and quite a few stood out as they made good first impressions in their new colours.

Bradley Cross (Kaizer Chiefs)
Given a chance to start at left back for Amakhosi, Cross had a debut to remember and many will be hoping that it's just the start of more to come from the former Golden Arrows player. He was solid in challenges and was key in defending set pieces. He was also a threat in the opposition half whenever Amakhosi had set pieces and, in fact, forced a save from Washington Arubi when Gaston Sirino whipped in a dangerous free kick. The 23-year-old was named man of the match.
Keagan Allan (Richards Bay)
After a brief spell with SuperSport United last season, Allan found a new home at Richards Bay and quickly made his presence felt as he netted the winning goal against TS Galaxy. He was key at the back as the hosts kept a clean sheet to make a perfect start to the campaign.
Andile Jali (Chippa United)
He might have only played for 45 minutes, but he definitely announced himself in fine style with an absolutely cracking goal against his former side Orlando Pirates. He was taken off at the break because of a hamstring problem and his absence was really felt by the Chilli Boys in the middle of the park. It shows how important he was for the team before being taken off.

Gaston Sirino (Kaizer Chiefs)
The former Mamelodi Sundowns man kept the Marumo Gallants defenders busy, playing on the left side of Amakhosi's front three. This gave him an opportunity to cut into play to use his stronger right foot to either whip in cross or take shots at goal. He was one of the side's most creative players on the day as they beat Gallants 2-1. He set up Mduduzi Shabalala for Amakhosi's equaliser.
Deano van Rooyen (Orlando Pirates)
The former Stellenbosch FC captain had already made his debut in the CAF Champions League for the Buccaneers and got his first taste of league action against Chippa on Wednesday evening. As usual, Van Rooyen was a threat going forward on the right, combining well with Monnapule Saleng as the Buccaneers secured a 2-1 victory at Orlando Stadium.
