Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has opened up on the club's reported interest in Al Ahly attacker Percy Tau, according to reports in foreign media.
Recent reports had already suggested that Tau's relationship with Ahly coach Marcel Kohler had deteriorated and there is a chance of him making an exit in the near future.

Amakhosi are understood to be interested in the services of the former Mamelodi Sundowns player, but Nabi has been quoted as playing down the matter.
"There are no negotiations between us and Percy Tau because he is contracted with Al Ahly. If we had the desire to sign Percy Tau, we would officially approach Al Ahly, out of respect for the club because it is a big team," Nabi has been quoted as saying from On Time Sports 1, as reported by Kora.
He continued: "We have not spoken with Al Ahly or the player despite Percy Tau's value and high level."
He concluded: "There is no doubt about Percy Tau's level and all respect to him, but there is no interest in him now. If that happens, it will be through official negotiation channels."

Amakhosi have signed Fiacre Ntwari, Rushwin Dortley, Bongani Sam, Gaston Sirino and Inacio Miguel during the current transfer window and they are believed to still be in the market for a striker and attacking players to bolster their attack, having been strongly linked with Fiston Mayele.
Tau, who has also been linked with a move to Rulani Mokwena's Wydad Casablanca, has been called up to Hugo Broos' preliminary Bafana Bafana squad and will have an opportunity to increase interest in his services if he performs well in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Uganda and South Sudan.
