BREAKING: MTN8 Increases Prize Money

BREAKING: MTN8 Increases Prize Money

The wait is over as MTN8 champions Orlando Pirates are set to get the new season underway aiming for yet another trophy defence, with this year's tournament launched on Wednesday, while each of the other seven teams will hope to be the competition's winners this time around.

Having won the competition on successive occasions in 2022 and 2023, the Buccaneers will be hoping for a perfect start on Saturday when they host SuperSport United at Orlando Stadium, although Jose Riveiro and his team know it won't be easy due to the high level of competition for teams in the league.

Furthermore, it has been announced that the participation fee (that clubs receive) has increased from R800 000 to R1 million.

In other quarter-final fixtures, Stellenbosch FC are scheduled to host TS Galaxy at Danie Craven Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
