A Premier League giant has reportedly initiated talks with the representatives of Victor Osimhen over a mooted transfer when the window reopens.

In recent weeks, it was rumoured that Arsenal's top striker target was RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko.
The Slovenian has since inked a new deal to stay with the Bundesliga outfit until 2029, subsequently the Gunners have shifted their focus, and it seems they are now looking at acquiring the services of the reigning CAF Men's Player of the Year.
According to Il Roma, the north Londoners have contacted Osimhen's agent Roberto Calenda in order to explore the possibility of bringing the Lagos native to the Emirates Stadium.

In a season that was affected by injuries and being away with the Nigerian national team during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Osimhen may not have enjoyed the same productivity he did in the 2022/23 campaign, but the 25-year-old still managed to finish joint-third in the Serie A top goalscorer charts.
He scored 15 goals in the Italian top-flight and it seems he is still highly rated by last season's Premier League runners up as they are looking to reinforce their striker position.

The Lagos native has been vocal about his desire to one day play in England's top division, and with Chelsea now reportedly out of the race for his signature, perhaps Arsenal will be the club to afford him that opportunity.
