Arsenal have reportedly responded to the allegation that Mikel Arteta insulted a dead relative of Porto's manager during their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie on Tuesday night.

The Gunners booked their place in the quarter-finals of the competition following a 4-2 penalty shootout victory over Porto in their round of 16 second leg.
Belgium international Leandro Trossard scored the only goal from open play on the night – a strike that won his side the game and forced extra time after their 1-0 defeat in the first round – but the match was not without drama.
After the final whistle, Arsenal's manager and Porto's Sergio Conceicao were seen in a heated discussion on the field before being separated by those around them.
Conceicao, speaking following his team's shootout loss, claimed the Spaniard "insulted" a family member that has passed.
"Mikel Arteta turned to the bench during the game and insulted my family in Spanish," he said, according to the Mirror.
"At the end, I told him that the person he insulted is no longer among us.
"Let him worry about training his team, which has more than enough quality to play a lot better."
While Arteta refused to comment on the issue, it has been said that "Arsenal club sources" strongly deny Conceicao's accusations.

Goalkeeper David Raya was the hero for the north Londoners during the shootout at the Emirates Stadium, making two saves to send Arsenal through to the next round.
