Rulani thanks Percy Tau's "Mother"

A friend of Masandawana boss Rulani Mokwena and Percy Tau known as "Mama Pree" and "Swazi Dlamini" on Instagram thanked the young coach and Percy Tau for their generosity.

Mama Pree, who appears to be a major football fan, received Tau's number 10 Al Ahly home jersey that's now framed on her wall.

"Your genorosity knows no bounds. Thank you for the wonderful gift @coach_rulani @percytau22," she wrote on her Instagram story, with Rulani re-sharing it and replying with a touching tale.

"Actually, the one you should thank is Percy," wrote Rulani, who didn't want credit for the gesture.

"He's your son. You'd come to Clapham just to watch him at training and games. I know how much he means to you. You're a great woman and you deserve it," he added.

Tau has come a long way since his days at Sundowns under Pitso Mosimane and Rulani Mokwena, representing the likes of Brighton Hove Albion, with loan spells at Union Saint-Gilloise, Anderlecht, and Club Brugge.

In Egypt, the 29-year-old has enjoyed a fruitful stay with giants Al Ahly so far, winning a CAF Champions League title, two CAF Super Cups, an Egyptian Premier League title, a FIFA Club World Cup bronze medal, and the Egyptian Super Cup.

The player's gesture to Mama Pree shows that he hasn't forgotten the people that supported him during the developmental stages of his career.
