With the 25-year-old expected to soon inform Paris Saint-Germain of his short-term plans, he remains strongly linked to Los Blancos.
It is said Mbappe is set to make a decision between staying in France or leaving the club at the end of the season when his deal expires.
The France captain is currently believed to be the highest-paid player in Europe, with it thought Real will not be willing to match what he is earning in Paris.
According to Cadena Cope, Mbappe is on an annual salary of €70 million (R1.4 billion) at the Ligue 1 side, and is to only be offered around a base pay of €15 million (R304 million) a year in Spain.
However, in order to incentivise the Frenchman, Real are said to be willing to give him an incredible €60 million (R1.2 billion) signing-on bonus and offer him 60% of his image rights.
