Spanish giants Real Madrid could reportedly launch a R508 million bid to sign a player from Manchester City.

According to Spanish publication Fichajes, the 14-time European champions could be interested in signing right-back Yan Couto, who is on loan at LALIGA leaders Girona from Manchester City.
It is believed Los Blancos are looking to strengthen in that area of the field ahead of next season, and are willing to spend €25 million (R508 million) on his signature.
Couto, 21, joined the Citizens from Coritiba in Brazil in 2020, but is yet to make a single appearance for the Manchester-based side.
The fullback has instead been sent out on different loan spells since signing for City – to SC Braga and Girona – and has impressed enough recently to earn a place in Brazil's senior team.
His eye-catching performances for the LALIGA minnows have seen him earn praise in Spain, with the offensive-minded defender having contributed to nine goals in 26 matches.
Couto has also played in more advance roles at times in this campaign, including against top clubs such as Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The abovementioned news outlet claims that Real could be looking to bring in competition for experienced right-back Dani Carvajal, with back-up players Nacho and Lucas Vazquez in the final six months of their deals at the Santiago Bernabeu.
