While Kaizer Chiefs' management have been inundated with CVs of coaches from around the world, the Siya crew has been informed that the club is narrowing down its options.
The Soweto giants have been without a permanent head coach since parting ways with Molefi Ntseki in October and have begun the search for a new man at the helm.
In the interim, Cavin Johnson has been holding down the fort, managing two wins so far, while suffering two defeats in the four matches in which he has been in charge.
The latest news regarding the vacant Amakhosi role, as incoming from sources, is that the club has narrowed down their options to five coaches, three of which include Pitso Mosimane, Nasreddine Nabi and Alexandre Gallo.
However, the identity of the remaining two coaches remains a mystery. As reported by Soccer Laduma, the Naturena-based outfit set the marker for what they expect in their new coach, who needs to be 'high-profile' (see page 5).
Of the three known candidates, all are in possession of a pro-coaching license and have won multiple trophies in their careers.
Mosimane (59), Gallo (56) and Nabi (57) have all accumulated a wealth of experience, though it remains to be seen which of Chiefs' five options the club decide to pursue.
While there is no word on who the remaining candidates are, this publication continues to dig and will keep you abreast of the latest happenings at Naturena.
