Let's take a closer look...

Parker's road to recovery

Bernard Parker is enjoying a quick road to recovery after a being on the receiving end of a rough challenge from Bongani Zungu, resulting in him breaking his leg.

Parker's rehabilitation from his career-threatening injury is progressing at a rapid rate, with the ex-Glamour Boy already out of his cast and walking without crutches.

Parker has been using social media to document his road to recovery. His recent video sees him doing some cardio work with ropes and other body weight exercises, which show just how eager Parker is to get back onto the pitch by early next year.

He's also done some work in the pool, doing some water walking, high knee exercises and some stretching:

Take a look:

Parker made sure he didn't have time to wallow in self pity after his surgery, as he did some kettlebell core exercises and other core workouts with a personal trainer:

The veteran told members of the media at TS Galaxy's training base that he is targeting January or February to resume full on training on grass.

"According to the doctor's view and the sports scientists' view, that it's up to myself how quick I can get back. They predict that I'll be back in February, maybe latest March," revealed Parker.

"It'll all depend on me, how seriously I am taking my recover, which I am, I hope to be back around that time, maybe sooner. I don't know, I'd like to take my time so that I can get back stronger and better as a player and also help the team finish the season in a respectable manner," added Parker.
