#Mileforlyle

Bafana Bafana and Burnley striker Lyle Foster is currently taking a break from football focus on his mental health, receiving specialist care from professionals.

Since the news of Foster's mental health struggles emerged, Burnley fans have been showing their support for the 23-year-old baller with the #MileforLyle movement.

Spearheaded by Clarets supporter John Robertson, the #MileforLyle mission encourages fans to do some walking, running, swimming or cycling one mile, which is just over a kilometre, to highlight the importance of looking after your wellbeing.

Fans of Lyle Foster here in Mzansi have also taken to the #mileforlyle movement:

Burnley's chairman Alan Pace and his family have put some weight behind the movement, taking to social media to show support to the former Orlando Pirates prodigy.

"It has been amazing to see so many Clarets participate in the fan-led initiative of #mileforlyle," he wrote on Twitter/X.

"Our family got together over the weekend to do ours and discuss the importance of taking care of our mental health," added Pace, announcing that his daughter posted their 'mile for Lyle' on YouTube.

Take a look:

Vincent Kompany and the Clarets will be desperate for Foster to make a swift recovery. The South African striker remains as their top goal scorer in the Premier League with three goals, contributing a further two assists.
