After receiving heavy backlash for his actions in Barcelona's latest victory, Robert Lewandowski has broken his silence after he appeared to yell at a 16-year-old teammate of his before refusing to take his hand moments later.

The Poland international has received strong criticism for his recent form in LALIGA, but was able to turn matters around when he scored twice to complete a comeback in his team's 2-1 victory over Deportivo Alaves this past weekend.
Still, however, supporters and certain sections of the Spanish press were unhappy with the ex-Bayern Munich forward's actions towards teenage wonderkid Lamine Yamal in the second half of that encounter.
With the score at 1-1, Lewandowski was seen lambasting the La Masia academy graduate after he did not give the ball to his senior colleague during an attacking phase of play.
Minutes later, cameras captured Yamal extending his hand towards the experienced striker after winning a corner in what appeared to be his attempt at making peace, but his efforts were in vain.
Perhaps still annoyed with the teenager, Lewandowski seemed to totally ignore the talented young winger, actions that were later called "unacceptable" by former Blaugrana midfielder Gerard Lopez on Spanish TV channel Movistar.
This week, though, the 35-year-old has attempted to play down the incident.
"It was just an accident," he said, according to the Daily Mirror.
"I have helped him several times, giving him advice, even in this match.
"It's normal to say or shout something on the pitch. The entire situation is a complete accident and has no meaning."

Lewandowski has scored eight times in 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season, assisting a further four strikes.
