Bayern & Spurs 'Reach' Major Breakthrough In Kane Talks

Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur have now reportedly made a major breakthrough in negotiations for striker Harry Kane.

According to The Athletic, the record Bundesliga champions have reached an agreement with the north Londoners over a transfer fee for the England captain.

The 30-year-old could potentially become Die Roten's record signing after Spurs agreed a €100 million (R2 billion) fee, including add-ons, for the attacker.

The decision to move to the Allianz Arena now rests with the England captain after it was reported earlier this month that he was leaning towards staying at the EPL club.

It was rumoured that the London native wanted a conclusion to negotiations between the two clubs before Spurs' 2023/24 Premier League campaign gets underway against Brentford this coming weekend, and with the same report suggesting that Kane is enjoying life under new head coach Ange Postecoglou, it remains to be seen if he will stay or agree to leave the English capital.

Spurs perhaps also find themselves in a dilemma because while their talisman may decide to stay at the club, Kane is in the final 12 months of his contract and could leave for free at the end of next season.

There have been no new developments as far as Kane accepting a contract extension in London is concerned, and consequently, the eight-time FA Cup winners have accepted Bayern's latest bid for his services.
