The Manchester United squad is reportedly eager to welcome Mason Greenwood back into the team as the club edges closer to making a decision on the marksman.
The 21-year-old has not been involved in any of the club's first-team activities since being arrested in early 2022 and charged with attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault.
The Crown Prosecution Service dropped all charges against Greenwood in February of this year, but the Red Devils have been conducting their own internal investigation into the matter, which is said to be approaching in conclusion soon.
It's been suggested that record Premier League winners will announce their decision on the forward's future at the club before their opening 2023/24 league encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night.
As United chiefs near a resolution regarding the England international, The Sun reports that both manager Erik ten Hag and the rest of the squad are backing the striker to return to the fold.
The forward was also recently photographed undergoing rigorous training as he steps up his efforts to return to action.
