Barcelona 'Upset' With Two Stars For Refusing To Leave

Spanish giants Barcelona are reportedly upset with two first-team players after they refused offers to leave the club.

With the Catalan club still hoping to raise funds in order to sign new players, Spain internationals Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres are believed to have been made surplus to requirements.

Ilkay Gundogan's arrival on a free transfer following a seven-year stay at Manchester City was confirmed on Monday, although it appears unclear as to whether or not the club will be able to register him as things stand.

Reports in Spain suggest there is a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for free should the club fail to successfully add him to their roster before the next LaLiga campaign gets underway.

As president Joan Laporta continues to work to reduce the team's wage bill, the Spanish champions are reportedly open to parting ways with Fati and Torres, who, despite underwhelming performances last season, could still bring in significant transfer fees.

This is according to AS, who claim that the Blaugrana are annoyed with the two wingers, who are intent on fighting for a place in head coach Xavi Hernandez's plans ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

It is said that their stance has not been received well by Barcelona's board, with Fati having reportedly been approached by Wolverhampton Wanderers in recent weeks. Former Manchester City star Torres, meanwhile, has been linked with a return to the Premier League.
