Striker Real Madrid Want If Benzema Leaves 'Revealed'

Real Madrid have reportedly identified a replacement for Karim Benzema.

With the shock news of Karim Benzema's potential departure from Real Madrid emerging, Los Blancos have reportedly already identified a superstar replacement for the Frenchman.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the Real captain is now seriously considering leaving the Santiago Bernabeu in the off-season.

A lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia has seemingly turned the Frenchman's head as the 35-year-old enters the final weeks of his current deal in the Spanish capital.

It had previously been rumoured that the reigning Ballon d'Or winner was close to signing a new one-year extension with the LaLiga giants, but it now looks as though the forward could call time on his 14-year career with Los Merengues.

The record European champions are thus believed to be in the market for a top-class striker who could replace their veteran striker. Manager Carlo Ancelotti was said to already be looking for a back-up for Benzema, but his attention now appears to have shifted to searching for an elite forward.

According to COPE, the Madrid side wants to bring in Harry Kane, but with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy known for being a tough negotiator, it is further claimed that the Spanish giants are not willing to spend as much as the €100 million (R2.1 billion) it would reportedly take to secure his services.

Kane is nearing the final 12 months of his contract in London and is believed to have told Spurs to let him go should they receive a decent offer for him.

The leverage the 29-year-old has now is significantly more than what he had when he tried to manoeuvre a transfer to Manchester City at the start of last season, so Levy will be running a massive risk keeping his talisman at the club when he could leave for free next year.
