The Limpopo born attacking midfielder joined Chiefs' juniors in February 2022 and since joining the team he has been doing very well. He had participated in the Afcon Under-17 tournament in Algeria where he scored three goals in four games.

Despite his efforts, South Africa had failed to qualify for the Under-17 World Cup after losing to eventual Africa Cup winners, Senegal in the quarterfinals.

A source at Naturena told the Siya crew that the team has most probably already prepared a senior contract for the youngster to be promoted to the Kaizer Chiefs first team.

"The Diski Challenge team coach Vela Khumalo and coach Arthur Zwane have been working hand in hand concerning the players to be promoted from the reserves," said the Siya source.

"Vicky (Mkhawana) has always been on the radar. It is just that he has been busy with the junior national team and that's why. It seems as the performances in Algeria have prompted that.

"Well, I am not sure of all the other details, as you know, it's the management who works on that. But as for promoting him to the first team, I know they are probably ready to do that now," the source said.
