With Orlando Pirates having already acquired the services of TS Galaxy goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi, the question was whether they are now expected to let go of more goalkeepers on their books?
As reported before on Soccer Laduma, there was uncertainty in the make-up of the Pirates goalkeeping department for the future.

Now, according to Siya sources the Buccaneers could possibly let go of veteran keeper Siyabonga Mpontshane and also youngster Kopano Thuntsane.
A Siya crew source at the club informed us that the team may instead be looking at keeping Ghanaian stopper Richard Ofori. He should be competing with the current first choice, Sipho Chaine and newcomer Buthelezi.
"They have finally reached an agreement between all the involved parties that Mpontshane and the 23-year-old Kopano Thuntsane should be let go," said the Siya source.
"They want there to be strong competition among the three who will remain in Ofori, Chaine and Buthelezi. Yes, there was a delay in finalising the Ofori deal but he is staying on at the team now so there is no need for Mpontshane and Thuntsane at the moment.
"They may need a fourth goalkeeper as time goes on but they are satisfied with the three top goalkeepers. The competition will be high and it will improve their performance as well. That's what the technical team wants at the moment," the source said.
When contacted for comment, Pirates technical director Stanley "Screamer" Tshabalala didn't respond to the information on the goalkeepers.
"You know we have just finished the season and there is nothing we have done about the players yet. Give us some time and we will see what will happen," Tshabalala said.
